Matariki
Welcome to our first post!
It has been an exciting term in Room 5.
In the past couple of weeks we have focused on Matariki during our topic lessons.
We enjoyed creating seven-stars-inspired pieces of art using cool-coloured dyes for the backgrounds, and neat star arrangements that we had coloured with pastels placed in the foregrounds. This picture is the piece of artwork that inspired us.
Here are some of our final pieces of Matariki art.
We were lucky to share some of our artwork with the rest of the syndicate at a special Matariki assembly on Friday 1st July (2016).
